We finally shoveled out from the foot plus of snow we got before Christmas, and now it has been snowing well over 24 hours with no break and there's another foot+ in the driveway. I took Guapo to the backyard and began to shovel off the deck while he doggy-paddled his way around the perimeter. I think he's getting used to his yard & getting good at making sure everything is in its place. I went skiing at Alyeska on Jan 1st, and skied so hard my hips still hurt. There was a lot of powder, and most of the mountain was open - a pretty rare thing in my experience! There are reports that December 2006 was the 3rd snowiest December on record...and I hope it will continue through the Spring so we can have some great skiing! Anybody up for some backcountry?
