Not much is new with us - we have been fighting off various colds for the past two weeks and really wishing we were somewhere warm! Dan had the flu for a couple days and shortly after that, day care informed us that Harper had been exposed to RSV, just a fancy name for a super common virus. A few days later, Harper came down with the virus and we began the battle of getting her to eat and keep her fluids down. She was still her smiling, happy self, so if you didn't know her you'd never know something was wrong. She has been a trooper with me chasing after her wiping her nose so much it is raw (poor baby!). And somehow, I caught the virus from her. I haven't been sick since October and this really has knocked me down - I missed work and didn't even get out of bed on Saturday. Today I feel 100 times better than yesterday, but I sound horrible (cough, sore throat and no voice). Ick.
The best part about having Harper at home the past few days is that I got to watch her begin walking - with a bit of encouragement (and sometimes something to hold on to), Harper is walking on her own. She's getting more and more sure of herself and when she falls, she smiles and claps for herself.
Hopefully we will all be healthy again shortly and able to participate in the upcoming skiing events...until then here's some photos of a more healthy Harper!
