Another Ice Cream tale

Dan's family friends (the Fitts') were in town over the weekend, so we took them south to Girdwood to see the top of Alyeska and, more importantly, to have some ice cream at my favorite ice cream shop.

We all ordered our ice cream and Dan got his first and took Harper to go sit down. I made sure the Fitts' got theirs and then I looked to make sure Dan was okay and that he didn't need anything else. As I turned around to see him and Harper, I saw he had just giver her a big bite of ice cream...which I normally would not object to at all (after all, ice cream is one of the four food groups, right?). Except, I was pretty sure Dan ordered espresso ice cream...hmmm. Espresso ice cream and a 21 month old toddler...near bed time...is that really a good idea?

I asked across the ice cream parlor in amazement "Did you just give her espresso ice cream?!" to which Dan smiled shyly. And then Harper ratted him out by yelling "Yeah!". Oh, I love a toddler that tells the truth!

Note: for the record, I did give her some of my moose tracks ice cream too!

Harper loved the snow in July!

Snow - sure is slippery in crocs!
